BIOGRAPHY

I have been interested in art as long as I can remember.  At an early age, I often accompanied my father, award-winning Ohio artist Bob Brubaker, as he conducted drawing and painting classes for the Darke County Art Colony.  Although I have studied with other fine artists over the years, my father has been the most important influence on my artistic growth.

With my children grown and having recently retired from the insurance industry, I feel fortunate to be able to devote more time to my love of art.  Moving from Atlanta to the Georgia coast in 2005 has resulted in a change in the focus of my painting.  I have become fascinated with capturing the tranquility of the salt marshes here, perhaps because they echo the quiet Ohio landscape where I spent my childhood.

Local art organization memberships include the Glynn Art Association, McIntosh Art Association, Jekyll Island Arts Association and the Oak Grove Island Artists' Guild.
